Ilmar is an assistant professor in the Physics department of Boğaziçi University (Istanbul, Turkey). He is also an associate member of ICTP (Trieste, Italy), an associate in the Department of Theoretical Physics at Steklov Institute of Mathematics (Moscow, Russia), and a visiting researcher at the Mathematics Department of Khazar University (Baku, Azerbaijan).
