Istanbul School/Workshop on Contemporary Methods in Theoretical Physics (I-CMTP 2026)

This school/workshop is designed to provide students and early-career researchers with a focused and pedagogical introduction to the behavior of quantum systems in non-trivial backgrounds. The purpose of the school/workshop is to discuss and address recent developments and progress on topics such as

Dirac equation in curved spacetime
Effective potentials and spectral structure
Integrable/superintegrable quantum systems
Current research directions (PT symmetry, cosmic strings,…)

The lectures will be held on April 3-4, 2026, in the Feza Gürsey Seminar Room at the Department of Physics, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey.

The school/workshop is primarily aimed at graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in theoretical physics, mathematical physics, and applied mathematics. Undergraduate students with a strong background in quantum mechanics and general relativity are also welcome to apply.
